[edit]

I never implied they were "distinct entities". I would appreciate if you stopped characterizing my edits as vandalism and engaged with the reason actually given for reverting a unilateral alteration to many articles. Remsense ‥  05:24, 5 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Then why did articles like the Kingdom of Greece didn't used the 4th of August Regime during their period, for example you just reverted my previous edit at the Greco-Italian War, the Kingdom of Greece was used as a redirecting link for Greece in the infobox but it didin't used the 4th of August Regime during their period. and another example for Battle of Stalingrad, the Kingdom of Romania is the redirecting link of Romania but not the Kingdom of Romania under Fascism. Its kinda illogical. TheManwhoNeverWasEverBefore (talk) 05:34, 5 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The ultimate goal is largely to reflect English-language usage, aiding readers at a glance, as is the purpose of an infobox.
That is almost beside the point, though. If this is a convention that should be changed, it should be the subject of consensus before it is unilaterally enforced across an entire litany of pages. That gets really disruptive really quickly; I am not one to abide by a single motivated editor's WP:FAITACCOMPLI. Remsense ‥  06:01, 5 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The usage of Fascist Italy on infoboxes (Template:Infobox military conflict) has no consensus either or any editor who reverted this edits if you dig down, it was edited by an editor who changed it to Fascist Italy on the spot. I believed it was from 2 or 3 years from now. But since I'm still just a reader from that time, I remember those links will redirect you to the Kingdom of Italy article. So in my proposition, the Kingdom of Italy as a redirecting link in infoboxes should be restored. TheManwhoNeverWasEverBefore (talk) 16:11, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
