[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:15, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to join a discussion that may be of your special interest as a Muslim

[edit]

Hello, I'm working on a broader assessment of image usage across Wikipedia to ensure we're aligned with community guidelines, especially around minimal use and avoiding undue weight. There's an image in the Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons controversy article—depicting a squealing pig—that raises potential concerns under WP:IMAGEUSE and WP:UNDUE. It might contribute more to visual emphasis than to educational context. Since our policies discourage unnecessary or potentially inflammatory visuals unless well-supported (see WP:NOTDECORATION and WP:NOT#REPOSITORY), I plan to bring this image up at Wikipedia:Files for discussion. My concern is strictly policy-based; I’m not personally offended. I also recognize that such images might carry unintended implications for a wide range of readers including you. If this is a topic you care about, I’d really value your perspective once the discussion opens, I'll be using intellectual and convincing arguments to get the image removed. Looking forward to engaging respectfully. Delicate ve precious (talk) 21:09, 17 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
