Disruptive edits to prove a point
[edit] Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Wikipedia:WikiProject Australian Transport/Naming convention and guidelines, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. - I was fixing an inconsistency between the table and the prose above it. You have just reintroduced an inconsistency. Steelkamp (talk) 03:48, 31 July 2025 (UTC)
- There is an inconsistency. I pointed it out myself in the RM at Talk:Macquarie Park railway station. In that same RM you questioned the validity of the guideline and said it should be ignored. When i challenged you that wikipedia doesnt work that way and instead we should discuss changing the guideline itself to resolve the inconsistency, you went and changed the guideline yourself to reflect the position you are advocating in the RM in an attempt to cancel the opposing arguments. That fits the definition of tenditious editing which is disruptive. Given youve been editing here for 9 year, you should know how consensus works and why what you did was at best disingenuous.
