File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Kia-pride-ev-restomod.webp. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 04:28, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Salavat.I have added the necessary information including the link from which the got the image and a brief restatement of thier terms of use. Please let me know if that is sufficient or if i need to add something else. Additionally, also let me know if the manner in which I added the info matches your expectations. Thank you. Hello, based on the information you added I have attached a "non-free fair use in" license template. The image now requires a fair use rationale to explain why its use in the Kia Pride article is allowable under fair use laws. You can get the template from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline and examples on how to complete it from Wikipedia:Use rationale examples. Or for a general essay on fair use, a user has written this essay: Wikipedia:What the @*^$ is a fair use rationale?.
Given the image is being used in a gallery and isn't a focus of significant critical commentary within the article I think the chance of it being kept in the long run is minimal but that isn't something I'm personal worried about. Hope the above helps. Salavat (talk) 13:54, 31 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Is there anything else i need to do from my part? SounakBat (talk) 04:32, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind. I will do my part and let you know. SounakBat (talk) 04:35, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I think i have done the needful. Please check. SounakBat (talk) 04:51, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I've re-added the licensing template and made a minor fix to the fair use template. Otherwise it looks all good now. Salavat (talk) 05:16, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. Thanks for the help. Happy New Year. SounakBat (talk) 07:17, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
