Your improvements on the Bureau of Land Management page

[edit]

Thank you for providing badly needed images for the Bureau of Land Management#Directors table and showing me the usefulness of adding {{efn}} table footnotes, which I previously did know about! Just to let you know I have been working on creating/improving leadership tables for several federal organizations and most of which are missing photos. Would you be interested in helping me fill in those holes, especially the ones I was able to locate a historical leadership on a federal website (such as BIA, USGS, NASA, JPL, USFS, NIH, NWS, FAA, etc.)? I have been spending most of my time trying to locate citations for lesser known page-less those leaders, especially trying to track down citations for previously unknown acting/interim leaders, which might encourage other editors to start new biographies. Keep up the good work! Thank you in advance. -- 96.82.59.129 (talk) 20:19, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your message. I am not that experienced with tables myself and primarily just copy the formatting I see used in other articles. Still, I will be happy to help where I can, especially with locating images. Thank you for taking the time to fill some of the gaps in leadership histories. Sipik06 (talk) 19:30, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I have started to make more elaborate tables now (it kinda helps that I know how to make basic tables in raw HTML without the aid of a CMS). The only problem is that I learn about a new feature, I have a nasty habit of going back to my earlier work to upgrade to my new "standard". Since you are already setup to process images (i.e. download them from their source, crop them, fix the color and brightness, and removed unwanted artifacts) and I am getting good at set up tables, it may not be a bad idea if we "team up" on some pages in which I help set the tables and you can added pictures and anything else that you find interesting, like locate previously unknown interim leaders found via large time gaps.
Some pages that I work on that could use some pics:
I had started a nice table for Link to a 15:07, 3 February 2025 version of National Highway Traffic Safety Administration before a bunch of Luddites decided "The list of admin can be done on a separate article [because] the info present does not provide much in context to NHTSA" and they promptly deleted it while others tried to restore a poor imitation of the list, but failed. If you like my table as starting point, restore it to a new page.
Not sure if you can do anything on the university pages that I also worked on since copyright issues could be a potential problem there. Thanks again. -- 96.82.59.129 (talk) 11:27, 23 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
