Sentence case

[edit]

Hi there, I noticed you recently changed a header at Nine Mile Point Nuclear Generating Station (I patrol that page for vandalism) from "Electricity production" to "Electricity Production". This is actually incorrect - Wikipedia uses sentence case in headers; please see MOS:HEAD. This may seem like a very trivial thing to care about, but it's good to try and keep a uniform style.

Please take a look at the Manual of Style. I'll attach an automated message with some helpful links below. Thanks, Jessicapierce (talk) 05:16, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting! Thank you for letting me know. I was updating it to what I had seen in others. I guess it's time to go change it elsewhere. Much appreciated. Happy editing! ScottFerreira (talk) 05:19, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No worries at all! The Manual of Style can be... daunting, to say the least. It's outrageously comprehensive, which means it's impossible to know it all. It's clear that you're editing in good faith, which is the main thing. If I can help with anything, just let me know. Cheers! Jessicapierce (talk) 05:28, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Jessicapierce (talk) 05:16, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This submission does not appear to be written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article. Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
