Regarding Talk:Gulf of Mexico
[edit]I am separating this from the other discussions because this doesn't have to do with improving the article and so that WP:OWNTALK and WP:UOWN applies to you. From your reply to me at the talk page: Tell me you aren't putting the credibility of political bloggers and anonymous sources above the United Nations.
I am disappointed with your choice of words. That reply was the first time I was aware of your UNEP.org document. Despite that, you ended up accusing me of at a minimum making a mistake. Given that I had no realistic chance of reviewing prior to your comment, please give me time in the future to review a document or other potential source before saying that I am putting questionable sources before good ones. I understand that you are a new user and I am trying not to be bitey. Just letting you know for the future to be a it more cautious. --Super Goku V (talk) 18:16, 7 May 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry, I was seeing what I perceived to be inconsistent scrutiny of sources.
- The use of Ms. O'Bier's article appears to be a textbook case of "Circular Reporting" as described here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circular_reporting. Sccarney (talk) 18:31, 7 May 2025 (UTC)
- Gotcha and no problem. I do see your CIRCULAR concern. --Super Goku V (talk) 18:38, 7 May 2025 (UTC)
