North Yemen Civil War

[edit]
  • Hello. Going to need (or at least ask for) a lot more explanation of why you closed the RM as "moved" and not as keep the present title or at least as 'No consensus'. I'd argue that there wasn't a consensus, please read the discussion again and consider changing your close. I was criticized for linking to the n-grams too often, hopefully you clicked on one of those. No explanation shouldn't do in this case as it doesn't seem a clear support or oppose result, and even 'no consensus' seems incorrect as keeping the long-term uppercasing is supported by the data. Thanks. Randy Kryn (talk) 08:31, 3 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please give me some time to clear my mind, so I can review the discussion with a fresh pair of eyes. Thank you, Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 18:45, 3 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

No hurry, things like this never are. The RM itself went on for many weeks after its past due date, and we all ended up just playing at the end. Randy Kryn (talk) 00:54, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe when you get back? Thanks. Randy Kryn (talk) 13:44, 7 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from CoachBigFun (14:23, 6 January 2025)

[edit]

Hi Rotide! My first article draft was declined most of the information from the article I got piecing together information from online or physical media guides. How do I figure out the reason for it being declined and to better cite my article? --CoachBigFun (talk) 14:23, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, how often should you try to see if articles are wrong and need to be edited --Fewdirt (talk) 19:01, 3 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki Page Creation Help

[edit]

Hi Roti! I appreciate your help on my Wiki page about Charles Grispin and am reaching out for further clarification and help. I am not too familiar with Wikipedia's system and layout and am a little lost amongst all of the information. Were you the account to delete that page? If so, what could I change to have it resubmitted and not deleted? Charles Grispin is a successful scientist and well known name in the polymer pyrolysis industry, although he hasn't published writings of his own and has not been interviewed for papers, he has several patents and other forms of legitimacy. I believe that page followed all of the criteria of being notable, etc. I appreciate your feedback and advice, thank you! An eyewitness (talk) 20:08, 18 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

hi --#Hi (talk) 13:12, 18 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Fewdirt! Looks like Paine Ellsworth has left some links on your talk page. Please feel free to return and ask if you have questions on them or on editing in general. Cheers, Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 02:02, 5 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I looked and looked for this error and it was right there under my nose all the time. Excellent catch, editor Rotideypoc41352! P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there 18:04, 2 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Belated thanks for the kind words! Sometimes I resubstitute {{requested move}} (with generous helpings of |heading=no and |sign=no) and click "Show changes", so the bulk of the credit goes to MediaWiki and their developers, hehehe. Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 01:54, 5 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Miles Edgeworth: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template index/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. –HirowoWiki (📝) 00:38, 5 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I'll think about it for the edit I reverted at Special:Diff/1288837446 and will definitely keep it in mind for other edits going forward. Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 02:08, 5 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
