I don't want to post it back here, but I just want to be able to get it back. I put to much effort into it. It's not even finished, but it was just deleted by one of the gatekeepers here with nothing better to do.
Hello. Because the article was deleted as "G11", meaning it was construed as being promotional. I can't see it because I am not an administrator. Articles that were deleted by this criteria will likely not be restored by Requests for undeletion. You could try contacting User:Jimfbleak directly. There are better places for you to write about the subject than Wikipedia. If you really want to write on wikipedia, start with references first, before writing anything. -- Reconrabbit18:10, 2 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
On 3 July 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Mountain cottontail, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the mountain cottontail(pictured) is abundant in the Hanford Site, a decommissioned nuclear production complex? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Mountain cottontail. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Mountain cottontail), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hello I was editing a page to reflect accuracy of biographical and literary information and someone else came in and reverted it back entirely. --Morton1977 (talk) 00:20, 4 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Morton1977: The reason for that is Wikipedia is intended for publishing information that is cited to verifiable and reliable sources. Your edit removed sources and did not use any to support the text that was left. -- Reconrabbit05:48, 4 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! Sorry to disturb your times but i have some question regarding the newcomer role and the regulation regarding such thing.
I was a few moments ago trying to translate a page from wikipedia id to wikipedia en since the en branch lack this particular page but it seem newcormer is bared from doing such thing. So i would like to ask on what i need to full fill to be able to do such thing?
Best regard to you folks. --Siput Sipit (talk) 20:09, 4 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Siput Siput: Hello! Thank you for your efforts in creating translations of pages. There have been many issues in the past with poor translations and so the creation of new articles is much more restricted now to users with 500 edits and 30 days of activity. The specific information is here: WP:CXT. Copying within Wikipedia gives instructions on what you need to do if you want to make translations without using the "software" that is designed for it. -- Reconrabbit14:14, 6 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! Thank you for answering! I see, i suppose there no other way beside this procedure then, i see what i can do to full fill the requirement first. Thank you for the instructions too! Siput Sipit (talk) 20:24, 15 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Mostly the Indonesian ambassadors page along (one of them being the list of Indonesian ambassador to the United State) with some of the past ambassador figure. There also another two page i want to translate to the English branch of Wikipedia but one of them already been translated by someone else i think. Siput Sipit (talk) 18:08, 16 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Siput Sipit I was told that the restriction is false. You can translate whatever you like... Sorry for the confusion! Please use WP:CXT for this list. The only restriction may be that the article starts as a "draft". -- Reconrabbit21:22, 16 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I just started editing for the first time; a friend is designing a curriculum for high school students to edit wikipedia, so we're testing out the experience. I'll likely stick with copy editing for the time being.
I am a native English speaker and I speak Italian fluently. So far, I've edited two suggested articles that appear to have been written by French and Spanish speakers (about a school in France, and about a city in Spain), since some of the wording feels unnatural but is likely literal translations from those languages.
I'm wondering if there's a way to find articles that need copy editing that are about something relating to Italy (places, people, etc); I suspect I will be much faster at adjusting non-natural wording and referring to source text and the equivalent article in Italian.
Hello @Clumsy-paper-136! There are definitely ways to find what you are looking for. There is a page, Wikipedia:Pages needing translation into English, where editors will list pages that have issues, are incompletely translated, or need attention from a native speaker of the respective language. There is a category for each tracked category.
You may run into the issue that these listings only capture the articles that editors have discovered, and which the problem was diagnosed, but not fixed. To take it a step further: all articles that have some connection to Italy are listed under tags from WikiProject Italy. From there you may be able to find specific items you are interested in, but there is a site here (external link) that will provide a listing of every Italy-related article that has some kind of maintenance issue (needs references, copy-editing, style editing, etc.). Have fun with it! As an example of one I just found: Colonnella is marked as needing a copy-edit, and contains sentences like "The construction of the "New Road", (current Via Belvedere), which allowed a good access to the main square of the village." -- Reconrabbit00:27, 9 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, just a courtesy message to notify you in case you haven't seen the Wikipedia:The World Destubathon contest update in the last few days that we've decided to run the full month until the 16th of July. For those who have been too busy to contribute, we would love some help in reaching 4000 articles by Wednesday night! At present we're about 480 articles short!♦ Dr. Blofeld16:43, 13 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Reconrabbit, thank you for approving and publishing the article on Zachary Dougherty.
I noticed that the article is currently titled "Zachery Dougherty," but the correct spelling of his first name is "Zachary" — as shown in the article itself and in reliable sources. I’ve posted a move request on the article’s Talk page as well, but since you approved the draft, I wanted to kindly ask if you'd be willing to move the page to the correct name.
Okay, I will look at it. I thank you for putting in work here, since it is a neglected part of the encyclopedia in recent years. If the article is not reviewed by someone else in a few days I will do so. Usually I put taxonomy first, but I think that is a matter of preference. Three ideas:
Hello everyone, and welcome to the 27th issue of the Wikipedia Scripts++ Newsletter, covering all our favorite new and updated user scripts since 2025! Boy, does it feel good to kick off the year with an issue. Yep, it's been a year since we cleared out the 2022-2024 backlog with issues 23 and 24! Good times. Though in this case "a year" just means... 6 months? 😯 The salience of whatever joke I was planning to make here has vanished speedily. Aaron Liu (talk) 21:00, 31 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Got anything good? Tell us about your new, improved, old, or messed-up script here!
WikiTextExpander by Polygnotus, is this edition's featured script. At the click of a configurable hotkey, this script will find and replace or link a configurable list of phrases within the selected text in all source editors (even in the comment/reply field!). Besides allowing the quick insertion of templated messages, this script greatly mitigates the WP:WTF? problem by providing both the legibility of familiar words and the convenience of shortcuts. And to those asking, the capitalization of "Wikitext" as "WikiText" was a necessary sacrifice for far-more-memorable acronymy.
CanonNi: AlertAssistant has been fixed and rewritten using OOUI instead of Twinkle's Morebits. Such modern, very tool. (Do note that the maintainer has since become inactive.)
NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh/AjaxLoader has been updated to use modern JS APIs that replace the browser's URL bar with the link you clicked on to load in place. The "back" (and "forward") buttons also work now. Cool, innit?
andrybak: Unsigned helper no longer shows an error when the message to sign was added in the earliest 50 revisions of a page's history. This is especially relevant to pages with short histories.
BilledMammal/Move+ needs updating to order list of pages handle lists of pages to move correctly regardless of the discussion's page, so that we may avoid repeating fiasco history.
In breaking m:Tech/News, Gadgets can now include .vue files. This makes it easier to develop modern user interfaces using Vue.js, in particular using Codex, the official design system of Wikimedia. Codex icons are now also available. The documentation has examples.
Appo/Globstory integrates OpenHistoryMap, updating the map whenever hovering/clicking on a location or year, the latter of which changes the map to be (hopefully) accurate to the year selected. It's pretty interesting.
linkinfo Somewhat similar to WP:NavPops, Awesome Aasim/linkinfo(pictured) provides a collection of links to replace the right-click context menu, presented beautifully.
PreviousDiscussions provides a link to search for your username on subpages of another user's userpage and talkpage conveniently.
Twineeea/noRedLinks brings you to the "read" instead of the "create" tab when you visit a red link. Contemplate life's mysteries as you stare into the blank! Deeply.
No, this is not going to be the enduring tradition of S++ for the future. This was meant to be a joke for the special occasion on the first day of the fourth month but was delayed by four months because I'm lazy.
Hello, Reconrabbit. This is a bot-delivered message letting you know that Draft:Bunhouse, a page you created, has not been edited in at least five months. Drafts that have not been edited for six months may be deleted, so if you wish to retain the page, please edit it again or request that it be moved to your userspace.
If the page has already been deleted, you can request it be undeleted so you can continue working on it.
