[edit] Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Situation (A Little Sound and Sugababes song), (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button
located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. Warm Regards, Miminity (talk) (contribs) 12:46, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, many thanks for that. Knew the signature bit wasnt quite right, but thank you for letting me know. Pragnell1957 (talk) 13:00, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions are appreciated, but, in this edit to Situation (A Little Sound and Sugababes song), you removed Articles for deletion notices from articles or removed other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. This makes it difficult to establish consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Frost 12:34, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
Hi, the Template:Football biography is fixed in the fields that it has, and it doesn't show a field for how many children someone has. You can add this to the article in its text, but ONLY if you have a reliable published source for it. This is obligatory on Wikipedia when we are talking about people's family and other details, whether they are living or otherwise. Unknown Temptation (talk) 11:39, 10 October 2024 (UTC)

[edit] Hello, I'm The Grand Delusion. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Darren Hayes, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. [edit]Hi Pragnell1957. I noticed the following summaries on edits you made on Polari (album):
- Used by the GAY community. Lesbians, bisexuality, transgender or "queer" people didn't use it. Gay only! Removed "lgbtq community"
- Gay men used it. Not lesbians, bisexuals, queer or trans. GAY. REMOVED LGBTQ
These seem a little argumentative. Is there a particular reason you put "gay" and "removed LGBTQ" in all-caps? Whoever used the word "LGBTQ" here probably did so in good faith; it's probably not constructive to use capslock when changing the language. Anerdw (talk) 16:27, 18 March 2025 (UTC)

[edit] Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you. livelikemusic (TALK!) 16:44, 24 June 2025 (UTC)
- Can you give an example of what I've done ? Pragnell1957 (talk) 16:48, 24 June 2025 (UTC)
- In this edit (for example), the tour title would not be italicized, nor would the "T" in the be capitalized, per MOS:THECAPS. Also, 2025-present is wrong, per MOS:SINCE and MOS:NDASH. livelikemusic (TALK!) 18:27, 24 June 2025 (UTC)
- thanks, however, as the "the" is the tour title (as in their song The Boy Is Mine) I've reverted your edit.... Pragnell1957 (talk) 18:55, 24 June 2025 (UTC)

- Per MOS:THECAPS, it should remain lowercase, especially if not at the beginning of the sentence (i.e., the Weeknd, the Eras Tour); so again, you've violated the MOS. livelikemusic (TALK!) 19:08, 24 June 2025 (UTC)
- FFS. The Weeknd is "the Weeknd" because that's how he stylises it. It's called "the Eras Tour" because it's the ERAS not THE ERAS. It's called THE BOY IS MINE TOUR because of their song The Boy Is Mine. It's not the "Boy Is Mine" Tour Pragnell1957 (talk) 19:21, 24 June 2025 (UTC)
- Furthermore, quit stalking me on Wikipedia. You pop up all over the place all the damn time. And this time, you are WRONG Pragnell1957 (talk) 19:23, 24 June 2025 (UTC)

- Firstly, I responded to your explanation request with a diff edit as example, and did so in a civil manner, while also noting the other Manual of Style violations; to go off with an abbreviation of "for fuck sake" and then to make a false accusation is not assuming of good faith; I never assumed bad faith in your editing, nor did I stalk you. I saw the news of the tour via CBS Mornings, went to their pages, saw it added and went to see who violated the Manual of Style—which must be followed.
- Secondly, the page is The Weeknd (capitalized), but within a sentence (as explained in the lead), it is changed to the Weeknd, to adhere to the Manual of Style Wikipedia has in place. The same is used in regards to the Beatles ("The" is part of their name but if name of band is within sentence—By early 1964, the Beatles were international stars and had achieved unprecedented levels of critical and commercial success. it is lowercased to meet the Manual of Style.)
- Thirdly, again, the page is technically The Eras Tour (capitalized, in the same way "The Boy Is Mine Tour" would be), but in sentence structure, it is changed to the Eras Tour (Spanning 149 shows in 51 cities across five continents, the Eras Tour had a large cultural and socioeconomic impact.), again, adhere to the Manual of Style. It's not about right or wrong, it's about the Manual of Style. livelikemusic (TALK!) 19:37, 24 June 2025 (UTC)
Sir David Beckham, OBE
[edit]David was made a Knights Bachelor, one of the oldest forms of Knighthood, however, it is not part of one of the knightly Orders. Therefore with David being made an Officer of the British Empire (OBE), this still stands and he is entitled to wear his Order as well as his Knights Bachelor neck badge. He should be addressed, Sir David Beckham, OBE. 2A06:61C2:8842:0:5CCC:8FE3:A027:909C (talk) 18:33, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
- okay, thank you Pragnell1957 (talk) 19:02, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
- His wiki opening should say, Sir David Robert Joseph Beckham OBE.
- With a link to the Knights Bachelor page for his Sir, and one to the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for his OBE.

Editing
[edit]Hey! I admire the time you put into making updates on Aaliyah related articles but many of your edits are not helpful. In fact, many of your edits actually ruins the flow and consistency on these articles. You tend to make huge edits that change the entire layout on these pages. Also you tend to add useless information that isn't needed and just takes up space. Huge/ Major changes should be discussed before being added, and that goes for every article on Wikipedia not just for Aaliyah related articles. OkIGetIt20 (talk) 15:25, 2 August 2025 (UTC)
