Happy editing! --pro-anti-air (talk) 03:09, 12 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks @Pro-anti-air, I will contact you if i need. PixelWhite (talk) 03:11, 12 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I believe you should remove your birthdate from your userpage and request edit suppresion. --pro-anti-air (talk) 03:16, 12 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
why? PixelWhite (talk) 03:18, 12 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, right, I will do this. PixelWhite (talk) 03:19, 12 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Edits have been oversighted, please avoid posting personal info! --pro-anti-air (talk) 04:17, 12 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
What I should remove from my user page? Only birthday? PixelWhite (talk) 11:11, 12 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Your userpage is currently fine. Just avoiding putting any private personal info, this include your birthday! --pro-anti-air (talk) 19:45, 12 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know if there was a need for that, not that I don't want to or want to disrespect you, but I was already aware of that information and sure about it, because I put it on the Portuguese Wikipedia. But if you want it to be removed if I gets you uncomfortable, so i will remove it. well, great edits and goodbye! PixelWhite (talk) 19:57, 12 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Stockton, New York, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Jalen Barks (Woof) 01:32, 29 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@JalenBarks: So how can I contribute in the right way? PixelWhite (talk) 01:33, 29 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@JalenBarks: What I did wrong? I just added links PixelWhite (talk) 01:35, 29 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Please see WP:OLINK; a lot of your link contributions are well-known topics and do not need to be linked. Jalen Barks (Woof) 01:36, 29 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@JalenBarks: I know, but maybe a reader would like to learn more about the subject, PixelWhite (talk) 01:38, 29 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@JalenBarks: I saw the help article, I think I'll have to stop adding years and links uncontrollably PixelWhite (talk) 01:46, 29 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Doing edits like this is well? PixelWhite (talk) 01:48, 29 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, in your recent edit to Cambados, you added links to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links to avoid overlinking. Thank you. --pro-anti-air (talk) 21:04, 14 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Pro-anti-air: Sorry, I added links in Article with the name and the exact link name of the word, I will have more caution at this, good edits. PixelWhite (talk) 21:10, 14 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

We already have Category:1248 deaths for this subject. In fact, you can see all of our 2,000+ categories organizing the deaths of notable people by year if you browse through Category:Deaths by year. Liz Read! Talk! 22:18, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Oh @Liz, totally sorry, I don't searched fully on the category! PixelWhite (talk) 22:35, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your answer at the Teahouse

[edit]

I saw your response to Hoary at the Teahouse and wanted to talk to you about it (without further distracting from the purpose of that thread). Many people, when reading the phrase You can not edit the article, would understand it to mean that they are not allowed to edit it, rather than them having the option not to edit it. See wikt:can not. jlwoodwa (talk) 20:51, 26 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Jlwoodwa: Of course! Everything can be resolved with a conversation! Understand: As I am Brazilian and I am not fluent in English, I use the translator to talk to others: and the translator understands "Você não pode editar o artigo se ele já está bom", com "You can not edit the article if you think it's well" I'm still learning English, calm... PixelWhite (talk) 21:21, 26 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
So if you misunderstood, sorry! But it's not my fault PixelWhite (talk) 21:22, 26 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I did not misunderstand, but it is likely that newcomers at the Teahouse may misunderstand. Often they are already confused when they show up at the Teahouse, and it is important not to mislead them. jlwoodwa (talk) 21:24, 26 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The translator understands "Você não edita" as "You can not edit", it was supposed to be "You may not edit". I hope I have clarified. PixelWhite (talk) 21:26, 26 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Also, if you are using a machine translator to communicate, you are still responsible for your own edits. jlwoodwa (talk) 21:26, 26 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Calm down, I'm still learning English, you know that wasn't my intention. If I use my own mind, it will take me a while to answer because even if I learned, it will take a while to remember, that's it. So even if using a machine: "I am still responsible for my own edits" and I wrote that with the intention of it being "may not" and the machine understand other thing, I am not considering myself responsible for this edition by the machine, I am only responsible for writing and the intention. Thanks. PixelWhite (talk) 21:31, 26 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
And I think @Hoary should be aware of this discussion, don't you think? PixelWhite (talk) 21:39, 26 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Jlwoodwa's comments all sound calm to me. ¶ The problem lies with the variety of interpretations of English modal auxiliary verbs (may, must, will, can, etc: the verbs whose 3rd-person singular present forms don't take ‑s) in general and of can in particular. (Such ambiguity isn't specific to English, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if it arises in Portuguese as well.) A particular context may allow two or even three very different interpretations. ("Quasi-modals", such as have to, have the same problem.) -- Hoary (talk) 22:01, 26 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Hoary: Understand, I'm not fluent in English, I need consultation sometimes otherwise I will become inactive or semi-active depending on my willingness to edit. And those were the interpretations of the modal auxiliary of Portuguese to English, my intentions were to guide you, I see this as semi-problem, So what's this, am I to blame for the wrong word being the machine I use to communicate?
In short: The machine (Google Translate) is the way I use to communicate with foreigners, English, Australians, New Zealanders, etc. and the translator just misunderstood my purpose.
in my point of view I consider myself not guilty, first I wrote in a way brazilians do understand and Translator translated wrong, second, That wasn't my intention, okay? I'll just make 5 more edits to the domain Wikipedia:, and then I'll be done for the day. PixelWhite (talk) 22:27, 26 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
