Welcome to Wikipedia, Persimone01! Here are some links to help you along:

If you need help, then feel free to ask for help on your talk page. Have a great Wiki-Day. Adakiko (talk) 10:43, 18 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

As you are Derek's partner, you have a wp:conflict of interest - please read. See wp:Biographies of living persons, wp:Biography dos and don'ts, and wp:Biographies of living persons dos and don'ts (there are two of them?) A good place to ask for help is at the wp:Teahouse. You are so kind! Thanks for all of your knowledge! Fortunately while I did provide a bunch of sources just to prove that the reason they gave to justify taking down his page was false, I wasn’t trying to add them to his page myself.
All I was trying to do was add myself as his partner, clean up some typos, and correct his job title. I didn’t think those things would be too far out of my purview. Are those ok? Thanks for your advice! Persimone01 (talk) 12:42, 18 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I am probably not the best person to ask as my knowledge here is somewhat limited. It might be best to ask at the wp:Teahouse where someone with better knowledge will reply.
First of all, as a draft, people will not object to any unsourced, non-contentious content. If it's contentious, it should have a at least one, or preferably several WP:BLPRS sources; which I imagine you won't be adding. Well, maybe that you are his partner...
To get the draft published, it all should be correctly cited. Use of your own knowledge is classified as wp:original research (OR), is not wp:verifiable (wp:V) and should not be used. Please note that anyone can create an account with most any name and your identity is, essentially, a mystery to all. So saying you are his partner has little weight as a source; content of BLPs needs to be well-sourced. If there isn't a source, it shouldn't be on Wikipedia. It can be a bear! Hope this helps.
Some of the sources on the draft are 404. The source for his stroke, for instance. Make sure all citation work before requesting a review! You may be able to find content in archives. See Help:Archiving a source. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 19:26, 18 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That’s a fair point, well made! I never even thought of it. It’s funny how when you’re not trying to put 1 over on anyone you don’t think about the ways in which you would need to go about *convincing* people you are you.
As to the stroke source, I have to think you must be thinking of the Bloomberg article which I actually did check today, so I must have copied it wrongly. Let me try again. This link took me directly to the article when I tested it.

I was referring to ref [12] https://traffic.libsyn.com/secure/skepticality/287_Skepticality.mp3 You should check them all. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 17:42, 19 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You do need to cite a source for adoption. As something like that could be considered contentious, you probably should remove it until a source is found. The birthdate is to a twitter post that only refers to the month and day, not year which needs a source as well. If no source, should just mention day and month. Roswell is a link to a wp:DAB page. You probably want to link to Roswell, Georgia. You can display a DAB link in orange: Preferences -> Gadgets -> Display links to disambiguation pages in orange. I would recommend visiting the page you want to link to to check its validity. Also, you may want to setup email in case you forget your password: Preferences -> User profile -> Email options.
