Hi OrangeWaylon. Thank you for your work on André Hellegers. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Thanks for creating this biography for a Dutch bioethicist. Notability is clear through the sustained coverage, even after his death, in reliable sources. The existing sources can probably be used to expand the article, particularly regarding his academic career.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Thank you @Klbrain: I appreciate you reviewing my article. I'll fiddle with it a little to add further information about his work. OrangeWaylon (talk) 13:43, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Nancy Ellyn Bass. When removing a maintenance template, please either ensure that the problem that the template refers to has been resolved, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as this change has been reverted. Take a look at getting started to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Thank you. Ldm1954 (talk) 04:33, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Ldm1954: it wasn't a mistake. I removed that template again and gave a longer explanation. Thank you for your note. OrangeWaylon (talk) 04:36, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You have misunderstood #5. In most major universities about 1/3 of the full professors in the sciences have a named chair, universities are good at exploiting these to raise funds, see https://giving.childrenswi.org/about/endowed-chairs. Only highly selective chairs of which there are only a few total qualify. As stated on the talk page when I reviewed the page as part of WP:NPP there is currently nothing on the page to prove notability. Without that it is not proven, and it must be. Information icon Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Nancy Ellyn Bass, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. A named chair does not pass NPROF#5, it has to be a highly selective chair of which there are only a small number. Please raise this on the talk page rather than edit warring. Ldm1954 (talk) 04:43, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Ldm1954: Whatever then, I'll let someone else figure out if it's notable and then they can remove the tag or maybe nominate it for deletion. OrangeWaylon (talk) 12:47, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
