Hello editors,
I’d like to raise a concern about the current phrasing that describes Dhërmi’s inhabitants as “ethnic Greeks.”
According to INSTAT (2011 Census) and several Albanian academic works (Pëllumb Xhufi, Historia e Shqiptarëve, 2020; Ardit Bido, The Myth of Northern Epirus and the Orthodox Albanians of Himara, Studime Historike, 2018), the population of Dhërmi is ethnically Albanian and part of the Orthodox Christian community.
Some older residents speak Greek due to Ottoman-era church influence, when Greek was used as the liturgical and educational language for Orthodox believers. This is consistent with the Ottoman millet system, which categorized people by faith rather than ethnicity (Braude, Christians and Jews in the Ottoman Empire, 1982).
Therefore, I suggest updating the article wording to reflect that the community is Albanian Orthodox, while the presence of Greek speakers reflects historical religious influence rather than Greek ethnic origin.
I’m happy to collaborate on phrasing that stays neutral and well-sourced. ~2025-32377-39 (talk) 18:38, 9 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon Your editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. That means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Instead of reverting edits, please stop editing the page and discuss on the talk page to create a version of the page that represents consensus among the editors involved. Wikipedia provides a page explaining how this is accomplished. If discussions reach an impasse, you can request help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution such as a Third opinion. In some cases, you may wish to request page protection while a discussion to resolve the dispute is ongoing.

If you continue edit warring, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia—especially if you break the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, or whether it involves the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also, please keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule— if it looks like you intend to continue reverting. – Demetrios1993 (talk) 19:40, 9 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your goal is to promote propaganda and false information through wikapedia and hardly lacks any evidence or any sources which lacked any proof or existence of a “minority” Nttgip1 (talk) 20:14, 9 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
