Curious

[edit]

Hey, @Nathan Obral, I am a little curious, how do you make a sandbox like you did and how exactly do you use it correctly, and afterwards, do you copy your progress and paste to the right article? OWaunTon (talk) 04:25, 12 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

MyNet Charlotte

[edit]

I'm guessing that they're going off it airing at the regular time on 46.8 (searching for Suits and the week's SVU episodes did show it on that station marked as Rewind TV in a Titan TV search). Definitely not properly sourced though, and I agree with the nom of the station list. Nathannah📮 03:51, 4 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, @Nathan Obral, if you can, could you update this article? It has acquired all of Alpha Media's and the sale was completed a few days ago, and those stations need to be added to the page along with a radio company infobox template. OWaunTon (talk) 14:07, 17 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Request undeletion of article "List of MyNetworkTV affiliates"

[edit]

You could've given a chance for at least requesting the List of MyNetworkTV affiliates page by splitting it to List of Fox television affiliates (table) and List of Fox television affiliates (by U.S. state), rather than requesting deleting the article entirely. Besides, MyNetworkTV still has potential to gain the audience it deserves, as it reaches much of the US by over-the-air affiliates by 89%. Even though it failed as a traditional broadcast network to compete against The CW in its early years with its attempted telenovelas (which was eventually dropped after only a year after disappointing ratings, before they were made available on the Tubi streaming service in 2020 and 2021), it has been successful when it converted to a syndication service in its later years by relying on acquired programming similarly to The CW Plus, although in recent years Fox Television Stations has been quite lazy to provide new content for the service except for the recent acquisition of Suits, which entered broadcast syndication in 2024, although I think it left the schedule recently as its short-lived spin-off Suits LA ended its run on NBC earlier this year. 2600:6C50:57F:BA33:A4AB:47D2:FAD:DB0 (talk) 18:34, 29 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is that the coverage in reliable sources is lacking to determine current affiliates licensee stations, including in surprisingly large markets. A split by organization does not address the reliability issues that drove the nomination. Sammi Brie (she/her · t · c) 18:48, 29 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Well, Ion Television should not even have its own list of affiliates page, as virtually none of their stations air any local programming at all due to the network's operations being automated from a single broadcast facility at their headquarters in West Palm Beach, unlike the other commercial broadcast networks, whose stations have their own studios. Besides, Ion Television launched a internet-only FAST channel feed in 2022, effectively eliminating the need for an over-the-air station for the network and rendering its OTA feed as practically dead. In fact, when Ion Television does cease operations as an over-the-air network, it will fully convert to internet-only AVOD service, effectively rendering the OTA feed as completely dead once and for all, and that the Qubo Channel would relaunch and take over the channel space occupied by Ion Television, as Qubo is a safe haven for children that was designed to be a family-friendly network airing children's programming when it launched in 2007, unlike Ion Television, which now targets a mature audience that airs endless crime drama reruns. 2600:6C50:57F:BA33:A4AB:47D2:FAD:DB0 (talk) 22:26, 29 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Let's not jump to speculation. The difference with Ion is that it actively has a presence as a network in a way that MyNetworkTV does not. Sammi Brie (she/her · t · c) 00:00, 30 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Well, what about The CW Plus? Its a syndication service that was designed for the smaller markets. It carries off-network syndicated programming, most of which airs in the daytime, leaving much of The CW Network's off-air time to their affiliates to program their own schedules on weekdays and weekends; much like MyNetworkTV, which only offers its programming on weekdays, leaves much of the off-air time to their affiliates to program their own schedules on weekdays and weekends. 2600:6C50:57F:BA33:A4AB:47D2:FAD:DB0 (talk) 00:30, 30 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The CW Plus was set up as a program supplier for very small television stations. It still technically exists even though the website no longer does. Whilst RabbitEars differentiates the two, they are the only website to do so (given, again, there now exists no web presence for The CW Plus) so I combined the two listings for CW and CW Plus together on the main network affiliates list articles. Well, I tried my best to recreate the article by putting the MyNetworkTV affiliates onto the pages List of Fox Broadcasting Company affiliates (by U.S. state) and List of Fox Broadcasting Company affiliates (table), as the former was easy to do thanks to RabbitEars, but the other page I didn't plan on due to each stations having separate owners. Besides, maybe it would be best to have the service rebranded as Fox Plus, in a similar vein to The CW Plus, although only a number of stations have managed to align itself as a brand extension to their duopoly stations or subchannel affiliations. 2600:6C50:57F:BA33:DB7:75A0:D0B5:81DB (talk) 08:14, 8 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Please do not. MyNetworkTV is wholly unrelated to Fox and your edits were reverted by @Wcquidditch. Had they not gotten to it before me I would have reverted it for the same reason they did. That only one source was used for the recreation is the main reason why the list for MyNet affiliates was deleted in the first place. Nathan Obral • he/him/🦝 • tc11:13, 8 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
