DYK nomination for Big Stone County Museum?
[edit]Hey Myotus! I hope the sunny May is treating you well.
I saw you started the article on the Big Stone County Museum & was wondering if you planned to nominate it for WP:DYK.
Let me know if you'd like me to do so on your behalf! = paul2520 💬 19:38, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
- I don't do nominations myself. I haven't taken the time to learn how to pursue them. I feel challenged enough by navigating Wikipedia's other processes I think my head would explode. 🤯
- If you would like to pursue that that would be wonderful! What do you think the DYK question would be? Myotus (talk) 13:26, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Myotus: I'm thinking:
- [Did you know...] that the Big Stone County Museum preserves an historic octagonal one-room schoolhouse (pictured)?
- One issue I just noticed: reference 5 (link) seems dead. Since you just started the article, I'm wondering if there was an issue pasting the URL. Are you able to fix this? = paul2520 💬 18:05, 11 May 2025 (UTC)
- I have updated it with a live link. I also have added more information about the school including its delisting from the National Register of Historic Places due to its being moved. Myotus (talk) 16:06, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks, Myotus! See the nomination here: Template:Did you know nominations/Big Stone County Museum. I'll keep an eye on it, and recommend you do the same. = paul2520 💬 00:49, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks! I will watch it. If it gets featured I will get screenshot of it and feature it in the Local History News newsletter. I think there will be a lot of head scratching by local museums. Myotus (talk) 22:52, 18 May 2025 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Discovery Museum (Netherlands) logo.png
[edit]
Thanks for uploading File:Discovery Museum (Netherlands) logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of non-free use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --Min☠︎rax«¦talk¦» 15:12, 13 June 2025 (UTC)
- I was working to rebuild an article nominated for deletion. Adding the image in was part of it. It took a minute. (or an hour). Myotus (talk) 15:30, 13 June 2025 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Twine Ball Museum (Darwin, Minnesota)
[edit]
A tag has been placed on Category:Twine Ball Museum (Darwin, Minnesota) indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 20:49, 14 June 2025 (UTC)
- I created it in error. I meant to tag it for deletion, but got distracted. Thanks for nominating it for deletion. I apologize for the extra work on your part. Myotus (talk) 22:09, 14 June 2025 (UTC)

Thank you for taking all of these photos. You helped a ton to close the gap in the unphotographed sculptures. Guerillero Parlez Moi 12:35, 6 July 2025 (UTC) |
DYK for Big Stone County Museum
[edit]On 27 July 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Big Stone County Museum, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Big Stone County Museum preserves a historic octagonal one-room schoolhouse (pictured)? You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Big Stone County Museum), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed.
