Hello, Ljt629, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. Hello,
We trying to write a new article on iron reducing bacteria. How do we go about adding people to a sandbox so we can collectively edit before publishing? Ljt629 (talk) 18:06, 14 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Further, I am confused as to how changes are saved. We are still in the drafting process for our article. If click "Publish Page" to save the new text does this mean the page is now published for the public to see? Is there some way to save changes to the sandbox without making the changes fully public? Hello rsjaffe. Thank you for the information. I had copy pasted my groups draft (from google docs) into the wikipedia draft page so I am not sure what parts exactly you are referring. Several group contributed to the draft with sections divided between us. Do you know what sections were deleted due to paraphrasing and so we know which group member(s) should be assigned to edit their parts? Ljt629 (talk) 00:53, 5 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
See my note at User talk:Curt99#Repeated copyright vios by some of your students. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 01:43, 5 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Dissimilatory iron reducing bacteria

[edit]

@Ljt629 this is a good piece of writing and it's well-cited, but it's not written like a Wikipedia article -- it should start with a description of the subject in the first sentence, and then get into more details. Introduction and background are good, but should go below the lead (which summarizes everything) in a "Background" section. Mrfoogles (talk) 17:57, 30 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
