James E. Smith (civic leader) moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to James E. Smith (civic leader). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and you may have a possible Conflict of Interest. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Sarsenet•he/they•(talk) 03:52, 30 June 2025 (UTC)
- James E. Smith (deceased) is my father. Does that fact alone prohibit publishing a Wikipedia biography, when there are independent third party sources documenting the material facts and events? For example, his presence on the tarmac at Love Field greeting the President and Jackie Kennedy is documented in photographs at the Dealy Plaza Museum in Dallas and Kennedy Library in Cambridge. And his name is on the list of distinguished citizens selected by the Dallas Mayor, which is of record in Exhibit 167 to the Warren Commission Report, and in the papers of then US Attorney Barefoot Sanders, who is standing next to him at Love Field. Other facts are similarly documented. Perhaps you can advise me of any exceptions are considered for a life of public interest and historical significance when all of the contemporaries who know the facts are dead?
