Shivangi Joshi article grammatical error

[edit]

“The sentence ‘She is of the highest-paid Indian television actresses’ in the Shivangi Joshi article is grammatically incorrect. Please fix it to read: ‘She is one of the highest-paid Indian television actresses.’

Thank you.” Kirti15 (talk) 04:23, 18 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Keivan.fTalk 05:32, 18 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello,
I noticed that the following sourced sentence was removed from the Shivangi Joshi article, and I believe its removal may have been unintentional or unjustified:

Noted by critics for portraying powerful roles on-screen.<ref name=":0">{{cite news|url=https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/tv/news/hindi/shivangi-joshi-makes-a-strong-comeback-as-a-boxer-in-yeh-rishta-kya-kehlata-hai-see-motion-poster/articleshow/80286809.cms |title=Shivangi Joshi makes a strong comeback as a boxer in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai |newspaper=The Times of India |date=15 January 2021 |access-date=17 August 2024}}</ref>

The statement is attributed, neutral, and supported by a reliable secondary source (The Times of India), and it reflects critical reception rather than promotional language. As such, it appears to comply with WP:NPOV and WP:V.
Unless there is a specific policy concern, I propose restoring this sentence to the article. Please let me know if there are any objections or suggested improvements.
Thank you Kirti15 (talk) 05:40, 18 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You have to seek the input of the user who did the removal. They might have a convincing argument. Keivan.fTalk 15:58, 18 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

A query

[edit]

A user changed “Queen Elizabeth II” to “queen Elizabeth II” in the article Together at Christmas (carol service). I reverted the edit, but was reverted again with the summary: MOS:JOBTITLE is quite clear: "When a title is used to refer to a specific person as a substitute for their name during their time in office, e.g., the King, not the king (referring to Charles III);" but Queen Elizabeth II is not in office; this is a fairly recent change to the MoS. Could you please clarify whether this interpretation is correct? MSincccc (talk) 10:12, 20 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Best way was to play with the text a little bit which I did. Keivan.fTalk 14:57, 20 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Article improvement

[edit]

Hello Keivan.f,

I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to kindly request your help with two small improvements to the Shivangi Joshi article. Image update: There is a more recent and good-quality image available on Wikimedia Commons. If you feel it’s appropriate, could you replace the current image with this one, as it better reflects her recent appearance (2025).

Grammar correction: The article currently states: “In 2020, she portrayed Geetanjali in the short film Love X Society, which was set to premier in the Cannes Film Festival,[1] but due to the pandemic (coronavirus), the film was later released in the OTT platform.[2]

A possible corrected version (for reference) could be: “In 2020, she portrayed Geetanjali in the short film Love X Society, which was set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival;[1] however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film did not premiere and was later released on MX Player.[3]

If you consider these changes appropriate, I’d really appreciate your help. Thank you for your time and contributions. — Kirti15 (talk) 04:19, 21 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Done. If the article is protected and for any reason you cannot edit the page yourself, you can always submit an edit request, which would land on the article's talk page, and the edit will be carried out by one of the users who have the appropriate level of access. This way you'll get a response faster. Keivan.fTalk 05:31, 21 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
