I disagree with your fixes. "High Empire"? Not a common term that I recollect. BTW: Please do not wp:OVERLINK. Thank you Adakiko (talk) 09:04, 10 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Adakiko
Hello! Thanks for the comment. I think you may have misread. "High Empire" was the erroneous translation I was trying to fix. And I apologise for overlinking, I was overly confident in my familiarity with the WP:MOS.

Upon further consideration, I think only my last edit overlinked. Would it be better for all edits except the last one to be unreverted?

Oops, going cross-eyed again! Gravel, limestone, and clay were linked by your third edit. I'll do the fix. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 09:20, 10 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Adakiko Yeah, that's okay, thanks for the fix. Could you help explain why limestone and "France, Centre-Val de Loire" were WP:OVERLINKed? The surrounding area has few enough links that I thought that that particular link would be reasonable. Thanks in advance. (Edit: edited to add "France, Centre-Val de Loire")

I would think that most English speakers know what limestone is. It's used in statues, building facades, floor coverings, pyramid cladding Limestone#Uses Cheers Adakiko (talk) 09:33, 10 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Adakiko Alright, thanks. What about "France, Centre-Val de Loire"? (Sorry, I forgot to ask about that initially, I have added that to my initial reply, though a bit too late for you to see it) Just a generic username (talk) 09:35, 10 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I would think it should be linked. Your discretion. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 10:02, 10 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Adakiko Okay, just asked because I linked that at first. Thanks. Just a generic username (talk) 10:06, 10 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Done, I presume! Cheers Adakiko (talk) 09:23, 10 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in the Russo-Ukrainian War. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose contentious topics restrictions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

Additionally, the following restriction(s) apply to this topic area:

  • Only extended-confirmed editors may make edits related to the topic area, though editors who are not extended-confirmed may post constructive comments and make edit requests related to articles within the topic area on article talk pages. Should disruption occur on article talk pages, administrators may take enforcement actions against disruptive editors and/or apply page protection on article talk pages. However, non-extended-confirmed editors may not make edits to internal project discussions related to the topic area, even on article talk pages. Internal project discussions include, but are not limited to, Articles for deletion nominations, WikiProjects, requests for comment, requested moves, and noticeboard discussions.

This seems to imply I am not allowed to make copyedits within this topic (until I get ECF)? Why were my initial edits allowed then? Just a generic username (talk) 02:36, 5 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@TonySt. (Sorry, forgot pings aren't automatically added.) Just a generic username (talk) 02:38, 5 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! Yes, that's correct. There's no filter or other technical measure that prevents you from making those edits, and I didn't revert your changes because I didn't think it would benefit the article. You'll just want to avoid that topic until you have 500 edits and have been registered for 30 days. Thank you for your contributions in general, by the way :) --tony 02:45, 5 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Also thanks for making me lose the game :( --tony 03:05, 5 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Now please hurry up and forget who made you lose The Game, or else each of my edits that you see will make you lose...
It "helps" that my username is somewhat distinct, too. Just a generic username (talk) 03:14, 5 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
