Diagonal argument
[edit]I noticed that you introduced the link Diagonal argument in the article Rice–Shapiro theorem. Unfortunately, Diagonal argument is a disambiguation page and not an article. As I have no knowledge of higher mathematics, I can not see what the correct link is that should be used? Can you take a look and fix that issue?
And to push my luck, can you also look at Riemann mapping theorem, Constructive analysis and Locally convex topological vector space that have the same link. Thanks in advance. The Banner talk 20:11, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, none of these links would be fitting since diagonal arguments are a type of proof, and all the links on the Diagonal argument disambiguation page are merely links to other theorems whose proof, like the Rice-Shapiro theorem, is/uses a diagonal argument. If anything, the right action would be to convert Diagonal argument from a disambiguation page into a general page explaining what a diagonal argument is, and linking to those other pages in the "See also" section. I'm not volunteering to write that page right now, though. Jean Abou Samra (talk) 20:48, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
- Okay, not the answer I expected but it gives me a way forward. I have added Diagonal argument (proof technique) to the dab-page and will convert the articles accordingly. The Banner talk 11:00, 6 August 2024 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for October 14
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Twisted cubic, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Parametrization. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
