Do you have a source for the death of your grandmother?
[edit]My condolences for your grandmother, is there any local newspaper or something that reports on her death? That way you can be sure it won't be removed. Right now, editors have every right to remove unverified information, especially about deaths. Wikipedia is a bit careful with declaring people dead after it happened to some living people.
