[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Charlie Watts, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. Technopat (talk) 10:34, 16 March 2025 (UTC)
- I have further edited the line. The original writer misquoted Wymann 2002, who never said where the drum kit Charlie Watts received for Christmas came from.
- As it was from my grandfather and I grew up with stories from my father about it (16.10.41 - 19.11.2016), both of which are now deceased.
- Both my father and Watts may have been in a band together called the 'Blue Lightnings' shortly before Watts joined the Stones.
- But I don't know much about that, only that my father's first wife called the police on them (she was very christian, and Rock was not). That was the end of my father's band-life, though he continued playing guitar privately.
- But, the drum-kit I do know about. Someone in Watts' family may be able to corroborate it.
- As such, the entry now states (as Wymann also stated) that the kit was received. Hamish.croker (talk) 12:40, 2 May 2025 (UTC)
