"F** that RFC"?

[edit]

I'm not sure what that particular phrase was meant to imply? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:COVID-19_lab_leak_theory#c-Fiveby-20250318010300-Park3r-20250317232800 If it meant what I think it did, I also wasn't aware that Wikipedia had adopted the Linux contrib style guide for interactions in place of WP:CIVIL. Many thanks for your comments on the "Vinland" debate.

[edit]

Thank you for commenting on that other page. I can see how it may appear I was out of line, but I was just "speaking" my mind"... in a 100% civil way to those who were civil with me. There are major misunderstandings in motion that cloud the Vinland debate. The opponents I faced there are on the over-confident side about many things, like the "debate" over the proper translation of "Vinland." There is really no debate about that at all anymore. "Vinland" can only be translated as "Wineland," but the Vinland article gives undue recognition to the "Pastureland" notion. The article should report that debate is over with, and "Pastureland" has been rejected many times by academics today. Rockawaypoint (talk) 21:13, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
