[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:27, 18 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

LLM articles

[edit]

Am I crazy here? These look like straight-up LLM fever dreams. Aside from all of the clear junk sources like mirrors, IMDB, etc, take this this one] for example. Those sources don't seem to even mention much of the material, and some other links in recent additions are just dead. I saw you try to clean up a few of them, so just looking for a second set of eyes. Also, not sure if you're in the States, but hope your animals are doing okay with the recent EHV-1] drama if you are.Sam Kuru (talk) 22:56, 19 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Kuru Hey, yes that editor is creating a big mess all over the place. Moved on to other tasks as spent a lot of time cleaning up. I'm thankfully not in the States, so not affected by EHV thank goodness! Equine-man (talk) 23:16, 19 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I have sent you a note about a page you started

[edit]

Hi Equine-man. Thank you for your work on Burg Kirkel. Another editor, Mariamnei, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Thank you for your work on this article. Please add sources for the following claims: "Its commanding height and fortifications made it a military stronghold and an administrative center, consolidating local political and economic influence over the region." "Thirty Years' War (1618–1648) caused repeated damage, leading to partial abandonment." "By around 1740, the ruins were repurposed as a stone quarry, and many of the walls were dismantled for building material." Please also add sources for the "Cultural Significance & Modern Use" section. Thanks and have a great day!

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Mariamnei}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

@Mariamnei:: Thank you for taking the time to review the article. I have added references which I forgot to add previously. Tried to substantiate claims while steering clear of any OR.
Please advise on the "Cultural Significance & Modern Use" section. I tried to not make it sound too puffery, happy to remove it if you think it doesn't go with the flow of the rest of the article. Equine-man (talk) 11:48, 20 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your improvements. It looks a lot better, although at the very end of the "Geography & Strategic Location" there is some kind of error preventing the note from displaying properly. Regarding the "Cultural Significance & Modern Use": it looks generally ok to me, although I would recommend trying to rewrite it as prose rather than a bulleted list. Have a great day! I blocked from mainspace but don't have any time to review the articles currently there. Could you draftify the ones with bad references? Thanks. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 18:20, 21 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Rsjaffe sure, will do. Equine-man (talk) 19:08, 21 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I would just draftify the page, I see no indica the page is using raw LLM material. The user may have done that with some other articles but that one has clearly been modified to the point it cannot be called unreviewed and the source at the very least exists. ~2025-31245-28 (talk) 22:13, 21 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
