Azov "Special Forces" vs. "Special Purpose"

[edit]

I always remember the Azov Brigade being called a "special purpose" brigade, but it seems at some point it became "special forces". Azov's own website call themselves "special forces". Which would be more correct? Kheyvayir (talk) 10:19, 20 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! The more accurate term would be the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov"; not special forces brigade. Yes, they refer to themselves as special forces in their own media and on their website - likely for broader appeal, prestige, or due to translation choices - they are not part of the National Guard's Special Operations and are also not tasked with special operations roles. Instead, Azov functions as a conventional combat unit which can be used for a range of different operations. Albeit it is one of the more experienced, better trained, and better equipped units - the National Guard's special forces element is the Omega unit. So, "special purpose" is the more correct designation. Davomme (talk) 11:28, 20 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Request for graphical works

[edit]

Hello there, hope this message finds you in good health. I’ve seen your graphical works on Wikipedia and they are impressive. I’m reaching out to kindly ask if you’d be interested in creating some graphical content (such as insignias or emblems) for a few military related Wikipedia articles. Your style and attention to detail would be a great fit. If you're interested, I'd be happy to provide more details. Thank you for your time and contributions to Wikipedia. Hey there. Unfortunately I don't really have time considering all the other commitments I have ongoing in my life. I'd have to respectfully turn the offer down sadly. I would just like to say thank you for your kind words though, it means a lot to me! Thank you and have a good day :) Davomme (talk) 10:40, 21 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Understandable. Stay safe and may god bring peace to your homeland. Banshee 007 (talk) 06:03, 22 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
