Managing a conflict of interest
[edit] Hello, Cozy Manager. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. SpencerT•C 20:59, 11 November 2023 (UTC)
- I will keep that in mind. Thank you. Cozy Manager (talk) 21:07, 11 November 2023 (UTC)

[edit] Please do not add or change content, as you did at Marvel Rivals, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources to see how to add references to an article. If you are being paid to include e-sports details, then you must disclose that. See also Template:Connected contributor (paid). Sariel Xilo (talk) 19:39, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
- Would a source like https://www.marvelrivals.com/match/20250312/41547_1218453.html be reliable. This site has one for each tournament and I can replace the liquipedia sources for sources like this. I am just trying to be as detailed and accurate as possible. Also, for the record, I am not being paid to include e-sports details. I am a project manager for a telecom company and I like being cozy. This is not the first time some one has assumed I am being paid by the content creator named Cozy to write on Wikipedia. Cozy Manager (talk) 04:24, 21 June 2025 (UTC)
