User talk:ChomponU Pongsawet

Hi everyone! I'm ChomponU Pongsawet. I'm in here for many days. And I will make Wikipedia better!

I have sent you a note about a page you started

[edit]

Hi ChomponU Pongsawet. Thank you for your work on The Copycats. Another editor, Slgrandson, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Even as one who's seen Gumball in on-and-off doses (mostly through my young relative), this installment's chances of meeting WP:NEPISODE are nominally in doubt--and as a kidvid guru, I speak from past experience on here. Redirection to the fifth-season overview is all that's left from here.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with Slgrandson. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Well, This file has the source which it is from Fandom. But I don't know how to do. ChomponU Pongsawet (talk) 03:59, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The Copycats moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to The Copycats. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish the notability required for a stand-alone article, and the article is missing large chunks of content. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. EatingCarBatteries (contributions, talk) 02:59, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the information. I just wanted to make Wikipedia better. But if the article is already to publish, please let this article publish in the website. ChomponU Pongsawet (talk) 03:13, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your contributions :)
It's just that the vast majority of articles for TV episodes don't generally need their own article, because they haven't been written on enough. I don't think there are any articles about any other gumball articles(?). All articles have to follow the general notability guideline, which basically says that it has to be subject to significant coverage in multiple reliable sources (not just a passing mention, such as saying that this episode aired on this date and had this number of viewers). a good example of significant coverage would be a multiple professional TV reviews (like this section of an article on a Simpsons episode)
if it has been the subject of significant coverage, you can add that and resubmit it! but if it hasn't been, there are loads of other gumball-related articles that you can help improve EatingCarBatteries (contributions, talk) 03:28, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, EatingCarBatteries. I already done with the article and please confirm that I am finished with the draft article. ChomponU Pongsawet (talk) 09:23, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Copying from Fandom

[edit]

Hi ChomponU Pongsawet. I saw that in this edit you removed the attribution notice I added and replaced it with "Note: This is a not copy of Fandom!!!". The page very much is a copy of Fandom — you can see here that the entire article is identical to the Fandom page. I've restored the attribution notice to both the draftspace and mainspace pages, as this is required to provide attribution to the creators of the content. This is a requirement under the CC-BY-SA licensing terms and under Wikipedia's copyright policy, so please do not remove the notice again. Thank you. MCE89 (talk) 10:41, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. I got it. Thank you very much for the policy. Well I won't do that again. But I did it for the website. I will not pirate every Fandom's text. I will make sure that I will not copy again. I promise. ChomponU Pongsawet (talk) 10:47, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You're actually absolutely allowed to copy text from Fandom, apologies for not making that clearer! Many Fandom wikis, including the Amazing World of Gumball Wiki, are under a compatible free license. This means that you can freely copy their text on Wikipedia. The only rule is that you have to provide attribution, which you can do by using the template Fandom content. You can have a look at the template I added at the bottom of your page for an example of how to provide this attribution. Do bear in mind though that Fandom content is often unsuitable for Wikipedia for other reasons, such as lacking citations and being mostly focused on summarising plot. MCE89 (talk) 10:51, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
How can I improve the page? ChomponU Pongsawet (talk) 11:08, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Or I should delete the page. ChomponU Pongsawet (talk) 12:19, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, because you circumvented the draft article process by putting out Draft:The Copycats as The Copycats (The Amazing World of Gumball episode) with the exact same text as the draft article, but without prior approval. Harryhenry1 (talk) 13:21, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I really want to delete a draft but how to delete? I don't know with this draft article. Because I know only Wikipedia basics. ChomponU Pongsawet (talk) 01:58, 30 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If you would like to delete either the mainspace page The Copycats (The Amazing World of Gumball episode) or the draft at Draft:The Copycats, you can request this by adding the text db-g7 to the top of the page. I'd personally suggest that you request deletion of The Copycats (The Amazing World of Gumball episode), because that way you can keep your draft and continue working on it then submit it to Articles for Creation when you are ready. MCE89 (talk) 02:20, 30 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Well, thank you very much for the advice. But I have a question. When will this page deleted? ChomponU Pongsawet (talk) 02:28, 30 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Oh. ChomponU Pongsawet (talk) 02:29, 30 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Well, Hi @MCE89. I edited on the article because I don't copy from Fandom. So please check it now and if you are checked that it isn't a copy of Fandom, please let the article get out of the draft space but if you are checked that it is a copy of Fandom, please do not delete it because I trying to make the article better. Thank you. ChomponU Pongsawet (talk) 09:07, 31 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The draft is still mostly copied from Fandom (see [1]). Like I said though, you are entirely allowed to copy from Fandom, as long as it's properly attributed. The fact that the draft is copied from Fandom is not an issue here at all. The reason the draft is not yet suitable for mainspace is that you haven't established that the episode is notable. You need to add reliable, secondary sources like critics' reviews in order to do so. I'd also suggest removing the "cultural references" section, as this is unsourced and is largely trivia.
It also looks like you have used a large language model like ChatGPT to write a reception section for the draft — please do not use AI tools to write on Wikipedia in future. MCE89 (talk) 09:53, 31 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Although it is still copying from Fandom but I didn't use the AI tools at all. ChomponU Pongsawet (talk) 10:41, 31 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Are you saying you wrote the paragraph below yourself by hand, without using AI or any similar tools?
The episode has been highly regarded by fans, with a 9.5/10 user rating on IMDb. It is often praised for its sharp satire and meta-commentary on originality and imitation in animation, with reviewers and fans noting how it diverges from typical plotlines of the series to address broader issues of rip-offs and creative ownership. While formal critics’ reviews are limited, the episode has gained a strong following and is frequently cited as one of the standout episodes of season 5. MCE89 (talk) 10:43, 31 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. It's true. And I search from the other websites. Not using ChatGPT. ChomponU Pongsawet (talk) 10:45, 31 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm a bit skeptical that you are telling the truth when you say that you wrote that paragraph by hand without employing any tools, but okay. Please make sure to continue not to use AI on Wikipedia. You also need to make sure to cite your sources for each of these claims. For instance, when you say it is often praised for its sharp satire and meta-commentary on originality and imitation in animation, you need to cite one or more sources to support that statement. You can have a look at WP:INTREFVE for a tutorial on adding citations if you're finding this challenging. MCE89 (talk) 10:57, 31 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi MCE. What should I do with this article? ChomponU Pongsawet (talk) 10:27, 4 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi ChomponU Pongsawet. Were you able to find any secondary sources about this episode, such as critics' reviews? If you weren't able to find more sources, unfortunately this episode probably doesn't meet the eligibility criteria for a Wikipedia page. Is there something else that you might be interested in writing about instead? You could try improving the main The Amazing World of Gumball page by adding more sources or adding new content to the page if that interests you. MCE89 (talk) 10:34, 4 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I am interested a lot of articles. But I cannot find the didn't writed articles. ChomponU Pongsawet (talk) 10:43, 4 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That's very true, it can be tough to find notable topics that do not already have articles. I'd recommend that you stay away from trying to write a new article from scratch for now. It's a really good idea as a new editor to start by editing some existing pages to build up your experience before you try to write a new page. You could try finding a page you're interested in and making some copy edits or adding sources. Let me know if there's an article that you're interested in working on and I can give you some tips on getting started. MCE89 (talk) 10:56, 4 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:The Copycats.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MCE89 (talk) 10:54, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the information. I don't know how to accept the copyright and source but this picture is has the copyright and source. ChomponU Pongsawet (talk) 10:57, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
What is the source of the image, and what are the license terms? —C.Fred (talk) 10:58, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It is from Fandom. ChomponU Pongsawet (talk) 11:01, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Do you have an exact link? —C.Fred (talk) 11:04, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, here. ChomponU Pongsawet (talk) 11:07, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Based on that, ultimately the source is the episode itself, so the image is under an all-rights-reserved license (and must comply with WP:NFCC). —C.Fred (talk) 11:10, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Oh. It's ok. But is in every article that it is all about the episode in this website must including the picture on the page? ChomponU Pongsawet (talk) 11:14, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No. The image should, at most, only appear on the article about the episode itself, as that's the only place using a title card may pass WP:NFCC. —C.Fred (talk) 12:17, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Pipe tricks

[edit]

FYI and convenience, your could have written your

 • signals and boomerang effect

as

 • signals and boomerang effect (psychology)

with the same result:

See wp:pipe trick for the long explanation (note that "the system" will retrospectively fill in the missing bit).

Also fyi, the first letter of article name is case insenstive, so Signal = signal. 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 11:25, 5 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Oh. Got it. Thanks for a trick. Because I never use this trick. ChomponU Pongsawet (talk) 01:19, 6 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
