"Schutz HeiligGruppe"

[edit]

I know that actually that's not correct German either; it should really be "Schutzheiligengruppe" (all as one word, and with the definite plural particle '-en' on "Heiligen"). But at least it's less incorrect than "Heiligruppe", and "correct" within the context of the comics.--CRConrad (talk) 10:53, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Armand Duplantis

[edit]

Hello, you may wish to contribute further to the RfC I opened there: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Armand_Duplantis Billsmith60 (talk) 11:48, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Billsmith60 Naah, thanks, I think I neither know nor care enough about the subject to contribute anything meaningful.
Well OK, except maybe this one thought: I'd say it's too early to declare Duplantis “the greatest of all time”, not because an athlete has to have ended their career for it to be true, but because – at least in my understanding of the idea – it contains a large element of having dominated their sport for a long time. And in that respect, doesn't Duplantis still have quite a long way to go to dethrone Bubka? (Not saying he won't... In ten years or so.) -- CRConrad (talk) 21:21, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:25, 18 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
