Hazel

[edit]

Just a heads up, I reverted you moving the Hazel article. Tropical Storm Hazel (1965) was retired, you're right, but so was Hurricane Hazel of 1954, which might also be the target for a search for "Tropical Storm Hazel" without the year. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 17:17, 2 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Hurricanehink thank you! The description was directly from an WP:RM/TR request and not my own, so no worries. I appreciate it as I did the basic checks on the move but did not verify the actual content. ASUKITE 17:23, 2 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Columbia719 pinging you as the above applies to your move rationale, just wanted you to know. ASUKITE 17:24, 2 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ooh I didn't know that, thanks so much. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 17:30, 2 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

What was the reasoning for moving the Syrian Arab Army to the Syrian Army?

[edit]

Dear Asukite

A few months ago, I attempted to change the title of the article List of equipment of the Syrian Army to List of equipment of the Syrian Arab Army due to the fact that I planned to make List of equipment of the Syrian Army about the current Syria under Sharaa, but my edits were switched around instead by you, so I politely request an explanation or reasoning as to why you did it.

(not to sound interrogative, I'm just currious.)

Hi @GuesanLoyalist, I was processing an WP:RM/TR request at the behest of an IP editor, per WP:RMUM, which is our noticeboard allowing editors to request the reversion of WP:BOLD moves. The request can be found here, which reads: reversion requested of bold move, might be a good idea but needs discussion first, with many inbound links to the original title. Naming of related articles is a bit complicated at the moment: see also Syrian Army/Syrian National Army, Syrian Arab Armed Forces/Syrian Armed Forces. 2A02:C7C:4D0A:A500:C03:948B:7B92:45FB (talk) 06:32, 21 August 2025 (UTC
Moves don't always require consensus, but if anybody disagrees they do. You are welcome to open a move discussion per the instructions at WP:RM if you wish to move forward. Sorry for any inconvenience! ASUKITE 20:33, 4 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, I can see now
Thanks for explaining that GuesanLoyalist (talk) 23:58, 4 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

And the "Global Resource Distribution Committee" emerges.
Two shortlisted WMF Board candidates removed from the ballot.
Who was bumped and why?
...while Musk prepares to launch "Grokipedia".
Serial-killer miniseries, deceased scientist, government shutdowns and Sandalwood hit "Kantara" crowd the tubes.
Don't get too excited before you read this.
