Hello: Apocheir Please do not block us for 3 months! We're sorry if our response is slow, but it took us a long time just to figure out how to log in (for one thing, we didn't realize that our user name was case sensitive!). We do not understand why our content is being removed from 'external links' and why we are now apparently blocked entirely. We could really use some guidance. Our content is accurate and on-topic, useful and of high value. It consists of high-quality translations of Buddhist scriptures, much of which have never been translated into English before. The site content is completely accessible to the readers and the links are very likely to remain functional. You said at one point that we should 'feel free to undo the bot's revert', but we have no idea what that means or how to do it. What do we need to do to know how to become compliant with your requirements so we can add relevant content to external links on Buddhist topics with high quality scriptural translations (available nowhere else) that will be very useful to those seeking a broader understanding of these topics. We mistakenly thought we had these issues resolved in our talks with 'Mad Jim Bey' and 'Liz' but apparently not. We will appreciate any help you can give us! Although I brought your edits to their attention, I'm not an admin. I didn't block you and I can't unblock you.
Your translations are self-published. See Wikipedia's policy on self-published sources, in particular this passage: Self-published sources may be considered reliable when produced by an established subject-matter expert, whose work in the relevant field has previously been published by reliable, independent publications. Exercise caution when using such sources: if the information in question is suitable for inclusion, someone else will probably have published it in independent, reliable sources.
Citing yourself should be done sparingly if at all. See the guidance on citing yourself, particularly this passage: adding numerous references to work published by yourself and none by other researchers is considered to be a form of spamming.
I also saw the criticism of your translation at Talk:Yogachara. Editing Wikipedia is a communal task that requires cooperation and discussion with other editors. If once the discussion is done, the consensus is against including your work, you should accept that.
It might be disappointing, but there may not be a place for your translations on Wikipedia. Apocheir (talk) 22:49, 5 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
