Hi there, and thank you again for taking the time to review my submission. I really appreciate the work that goes into keeping Wikipedia accurate and reliable — and I want to be sure I’m contributing in a way that aligns with that mission.
I wanted to kindly clarify one point: most of the sources I included are actually from independent, third-party publications — not internal announcements or press releases. Outlets like The Jerusalem Post, Long Island Press, South Florida Sun-Sentinel, JNS, Washington Jewish Week, and several regional newspapers and TV stations have all reported on JewQ, often in quite a bit of depth. These stories highlight the kids who participate, their local communities, and the broader educational impact — not just the event logistics.
That said, I completely hear your concerns and I can see how the way I cited the references may have made them seem less clear. I’m working now to clean that up — adding proper formatting, linking directly to the source websites, and making sure the tone of the article stays neutral and encyclopedic.
This is my first time contributing to Wikipedia, and I’m genuinely grateful for your feedback. I’m not trying to promote anything — I just want to document something meaningful in a way that meets the standards and helps readers understand what it is and why it matters.
Thanks again for your guidance and time. Looking forward to revising and resubmitting soon. Allenmal83 (talk) 21:07, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Can you state what your connection is with Chabad.org?EducatedRedneck (talk) 19:28, 5 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi EducatedRedneck,
Thanks for the heads‑up,and for spelling out the COI rules so clearly. I’m just getting started here on wikipedia, so the guidance is genuinely helpful.
To answer your question, I’m not employed by Chabad.org, paid by them, or connected to their staff. I’m simply fascinated by the Rebbe’s writings and, because Chabad.org hosts a trove of material, that site was the first place I looked when I started editing.
If there’s anything I’m doing wrong, please let me know. I’m eager to learn and want to contribute in a way that strengthens the encyclopedia.
Thanks again for the friendly guidance.
All the best,
