UK Women's Snooker Championship

Looking forward to this article - I can probably help to fill in some gaps. I see that UK Women's Snooker Championship to Return to Leeds in 2025 - World Women's Snooker says "the UK Championship [has] been staged on 37 previous occasions since 1982." I find that there is a slightly unclear relationship between the UK championship and the Women's Amateur Snooker Championship depending on which source you look at. See for example Sue goes marching on to major title which calls an event the "British Championship" even though I think it was the 1982 UK Championship, and says that she previously won it in 1980. Hmmm, I'm under the impression that Comarcas in Castile and León are not actual administrative boundaries (like they are in some regions in Spain), and just historic artefacts.
