Welcome!
[edit]Hello! I noticed your contributions and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay.
You are welcome to edit anonymously; however, creating an account is free and has several benefits (for example, the ability to create pages, upload media and edit without your IP address being visible to the public).
As you get started, you may find this short tutorial helpful:

block heads up
[edit]@Ponyo:
Thanks to everyone who's striving to improve Wikipedia, or who has in the past.
You can see here that i edited Wikipedia the day before yesterday (my 4 tildes will show my IP address hasn't changed (actually it has, but that's a separate issue)), but now when i try to edit i get this message:
- Your IP address has been blocked from editing Wikipedia.
- Blocked by Ponyo
- Block will expire in 4 months
- See details
But that See details link seems to indicate a totally different IP address is blocked, and has been for months (months during which i've been able to edit fine), so i'm not sure why i'm getting this message instead of being able to edit pages? My block log and global block log also say No matching items in log. So that sounds like i'm not blocked, only i am.
i know creating an account is an option, and i may wind up doing that, but if something is not working correctly with the blocks, i may not be the only one facing this problem. (Also, is the system not blocking IP addresses it's supposed to be?) Could someone look into this? (and if they do, do you call that playing with blocks?)
i'm having a similar problem on Wiktionary. If i get a chance i'll see if i have this issue on my computer or just my phone. Maybe if i try a different browser...? (i'm in Firefox on an Android phone.)
Wishing everyone safe, happy, productive editing.

...So i'm no longer blocked from editing Wiktionary, and i can edit Wikipedia on my phone's Chrome browser, but my phone's Firefox still says i'm blocked from editing Wikipedia... --70.22.1.45 (talk) 10:10, 1 October 2025 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contribution(s). However, as a general rule, while user talk pages permit a small degree of generalisation, other talk pages such as Talk:Taylor Swift are strictly for discussing improvements to their associated main pages, and many of them have special instructions on the top. They are not a general discussion forum about the article's topic or any other topic. If you have questions or ideas and are not sure where to post them, consider asking at the Teahouse.
