[edit] Hello, I'm Neveselbert. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Christine Keeler, but you didn't provide a reliable source. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation, your edit is archived in the page history. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ‑‑Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 02:20, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
Re: Christine Keeler
[edit]Hi Joe, thanks for your message.
I understand what you were trying to add with the Porcupine Tree lyric and appreciate your good-faith effort to cite Genius. Unfortunately, under WP:RS, user-generated content platforms like Genius.com generally aren't considered reliable unless the information is backed by editorial oversight or verified by a reliable secondary source.
The lyric you cited may indeed be a reference, but without a secondary source explicitly interpreting it as such (e.g. a music journalist, review or artist commentary), it's considered original research to include that interpretation ourselves (see WP:OR).
If you can find a published, independent source that confirms this is a reference to Christine Keeler and places it in context, I'd be more than happy to support restoring the entry. Until then, though, we need to err on the side of caution per sourcing policies.
Thanks again for reaching out and let me know if you do find something usable!
