About me
[edit]I occasionally edit topics related to sexual health, human sexuality, and related social issues, including articles about kink, queer topics, sexuality societies, and research organizations.
Focus areas
[edit]- Improving articles about sexual health terminology and practices.
- Copyediting to remove promotional wording and non-encyclopedic material.
- Adding reliable sources and citations.
- Cleaning up “Further reading,” “Publications,” “Controversies” sections.
- Fixing typos, improving clarity, ensuring neutrality.
Projects / Wiki-work I enjoy
[edit]- American sexuality authors, educators, and therapists.
- Upkeep of sexology organizations' pages.
- Pages on non-mainstream sexuality topics (e.g. “vanilla,” “kink,” etc.)
Selection Criteria for Authors
[edit]For purposes of evaluating notability (WP:AUTHOR):
- Researchers should be widely cited with an h-index of 3 or greater, as a basic threshold for scholarly impact.
- Authors should have at least 3 books published by well-established academic or trade presses (for example: Cambridge, Oxford, Jessica Kingsley, Routledge, Springer).
- Self-published works, while acknowledged as important, will not be used for establishing or demonstrating notability under these criteria.
- Their cited content or written books should contribute new concepts, theories, or techniques to the body of work in sexology.
