About me

[edit]

I occasionally edit topics related to sexual health, human sexuality, and related social issues, including articles about kink, queer topics, sexuality societies, and research organizations.

Focus areas

[edit]
  • Improving articles about sexual health terminology and practices.
  • Copyediting to remove promotional wording and non-encyclopedic material.
  • Adding reliable sources and citations.
  • Cleaning up “Further reading,” “Publications,” “Controversies” sections.
  • Fixing typos, improving clarity, ensuring neutrality.

Projects / Wiki-work I enjoy

[edit]
  • American sexuality authors, educators, and therapists.
  • Upkeep of sexology organizations' pages.
  • Pages on non-mainstream sexuality topics (e.g. “vanilla,” “kink,” etc.)

Selection Criteria for Authors

[edit]

For purposes of evaluating notability (WP:AUTHOR):

  • Researchers should be widely cited with an h-index of 3 or greater, as a basic threshold for scholarly impact.
  • Authors should have at least 3 books published by well-established academic or trade presses (for example: Cambridge, Oxford, Jessica Kingsley, Routledge, Springer).
    • Self-published works, while acknowledged as important, will not be used for establishing or demonstrating notability under these criteria.
  • Their cited content or written books should contribute new concepts, theories, or techniques to the body of work in sexology.
