User:Starbeam2
Hey there. My name's Starbeam. I go by she or they. Born 1997. Cental US timezone (UTC/GMT -6).
Not too big of an expert on what i like (as far as linguistics and culture), but I rarely add new info anyway. I just know enough to understand what I repost. I've had some level of serious linguistic knowledge for a few years now.
I don't do things simply because an academy or other authority demands that I do, even if I entirely respect them. I have to know the exact reasoning before abiding by a rule. However, I don't like to force my way through people and I am very willing to be contrite.
At this time I only know English. Seeing me on another language wiki is just me trying to see what one language calls the subject. Or an accident.

General agenda on my end
[edit]Bluntness is king, but I'm willing to listen to criticisms.
- Edit pages to have more tables, templates and images. Especially tables. This is to make the page more readable.
- I support the idea images work well alongside text, not just one or the other.
- Delete redundancies, non-encyclopedian language, overly long writing, commerical-like writing, bad transliterations, and bad translations.
- I actively hate condescending teacher-like speech, the "Scientific we", and wish contractions were allowed.
- I actively condemn poetic and flowery writing in educational contexts.
- Wikipedia is not social media or a place to add speculation. Nor is any reference site.
- But I do not see a reason to not allow breezy and direct language in talk pages.
- Add sources to credit lists and reformat them for legibility.
