14th Century France

I am interested in the people and social conditions of 14th Century France.

16th Century Italy

I love the pageantry, textiles, art and food of 16th century Italy. Bartolomeo Scappi wrote his famous cooking treatise, Opera di Bartolomeo Scappi. The mannerist painters were producing portraits of all the leading people in Italy. Some of my favourite artists include Sofonisba Anguissola, Alessandro Allori and Bronzino.

18th Century England

The intrigues, the scandal and the gossip of the Georgian court are endlessly entertaining.
