As of 2022 I haven't been very active on Wikipedia for a few years now. It no longer feels like the exciting place for an editor/administrator that it once was. However, my enthusiasm for the project has waxed and waned several times before, so I may yet return. I still keep an eye on my watchlist and make the occasional edit. I also try to respond quickly to any comments on my talk page.

The English Wikipedia has 113,661 active editors, out of 49,756,430 accounts that have been registered. Countless people have edited without using an account. There are 827 administrators, of whom fewer than 500 are active as of early 2022. Together the community has made 1,309,823,045 edits to 64,176,975 pages, of which just 7,067,438 are articles – so a lot goes on behind the scenes.
An RfC is open on whether use of emojis with no encyclopedic value in mainspace and draftspace (e.g., at the start of paragraphs or in place of bullet points) should be added as a criterion under G15.
An RfC is in progress to amend the structure, rules, and procedures of the Arbitration Committee election and resolve any issues not covered by existing rules.
