Shafiek Mouton (born 16 March 1981) is a South African sports agent and the founder of F7 Sports Management, a rugby-focused agency that represents players at various levels in South Africa. [1]
Early Life and Education
[edit]Mouton was born in Wellington, South Africa. He attended Bergrivier High School and later enrolled in Pentech (now CPUT Bellville) as a journalism student, though he did not complete his diploma.[2]
Career and F7 Sports Management
[edit]In 2018, Mouton founded F7 Sports Management, with a focus on rugby player development. Mouton has represented notable rugby players such as Gerswin Mouton (not related)[3], Lundi Msenge, Vainah Ubisi and Abner van Reenen[4]
Advocacy for Player Welfare
[edit]Mouton has been a vocal advocate for the mental health of athletes in the age of social media, discussing the challenges athletes face with online abuse and the importance of supporting their well-being. He has contributed to articles on the subject in reputable outlets like IOL.[5]
