My main areas of research are the bastion fortifications, the acceptance and practice of Western military science in Japan at the end of the Edo period, and the Jomon period (Pottery).

主分野は稜堡式城堡と、幕末日本の欧州軍事理論の受容と実践についての研究、そして縄文土器です。
