I am theologian, educator and mathematician working in bioinformatics / systems biology from 2004 to 2015. After, teacher of German language for immigrants and refugees; now as retiree still part-time. I am living at Weimar, state of Thuringia.

For further information, see the last version of my user page at the German Wikipedia.

There, conflicts about editing of political articles escalated, until I was blocked completely. From my point of view, the main reason was a controversial interpretation of the rules: As a member of the small, new party dieBasis, I edited the respective article more and more rarely, e.g. by asking to add a scientific source, which then was neglected for more than half a year (Kasten / Franzmann, Die Basis: Partei der Unzufriedenen, 2023). After asking again and some discussions, the article was cited with two sentences at Ziele und Spektrum, but was disregarded until now for the very one-sided introduction.

According to Wikipedia rules, I am allowed to edit an article with a personal relation, but have to be especially careful regarding NPOV. I did so, as I am convinced. But at the end, controversial users and deciding admins blamed me for my pure interest in the subject and for remembering literature.

I don't intend to edit or discuss much at en.wikipedia regarding this subject. So, I hope that we will have a better, mutually tolerant start than my de.wikipedia career ended (until I will possibly ask the arbitration tribunal at more quiet times, with less confrontation in society; hence, at earliest after a peace agreement in Russia-Ukraine war).

But, of course, I have many other interests like music or philosophy, and I am active within the German peace movement. According to available time, I will make contributions to en.wikipedia. One of my first activities could be a translation of parts from "Religionsloses Christentum", a fascinating idea by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. It has the potential to reconciliate atheism and spirituality.
