My one pet peeve: don't leave a hatnote. Please, just make the article better. (Also send me a message to let me know, I'm generally in a good mood about making articles better, but deleting entire paragraphs written within the last 24 hours without prior communication doesn't qualify.)
My philosophy: More is usually better than less. If I delete one word on an article, it needs at least ten more to replace it. The best articles are between 8 and 10 thousand million billion words.

I am not employed by the Wikimedia Foundation, but I am in the city of San Francisco roughly every month or so for Wikipedia-related activities. I have also been donating to the organization for as long as I have been an editor, and I encourage every editor to do the same, especially given the current controversial climate surrounding the tax-exempt status of the Foundation.
I'm also big time into the work of the United Nations and talking about things instead of having wars, so you might see some work of mine on these subjects.
This is a hat of note, but not a hatnote. A little hat note: it belonged to William Tecumseh Sherman. This hat note about a hat of note is still not a hatnote.
My work here
I'm pretty much trying to bring to light big characters and stories that the world needs to know, but aren't on wikipedia yet. I primarily write on English wikipedia.
I am primarily an article content creator and writer on Wikipedia. I value creation and inclusion of new content here, and I greatly value article improvement over deletion. When I have the time, I prefer to find sources for information rather than delete unsourced sentences. Like everyone on this website, I suppose, my interest waxes and wanes in certain topics and areas, however there are specific areas that I just keep coming back to; espionage, Cuba, and true cloak and dagger histories.
My work on wikipedia is mostly to bring attention to the world the stories and people I've come across in the world of cloak and dagger, intelligence and espionage - and the cops and robbers associated with them - that the world should know about.
I absolutely and wholeheartedly reject payment to edit or advocate on anyone's behalf. I understand that some companies are authorized by the Foundation to create articles, but I find the practice unusual and it kind of makes my skin crawl.
Disclaimer:Know that I esteem my editorial independence.

In spite of Death, the mark and seal of the parental control, Man is yet free, during his brief years, to examine, to criticize, to know, and in imagination to create. To him alone, in the world with which he is acquainted, this freedom belongs; and in this lies his superiority to the resistless forces that control his outward life.
