About Me

[edit]

Hello! I am Adrian! I am of Mara Chin, Kathe (Meitei), and Karbi descent, originally from Assam in Northeast India — a region of breathtaking beauty, rich cultures, and diverse communities.

My maternal grandmother was a refugee from Myanmar who came to Mizoram during the Mizo National Front uprising. My maternal grandfather was a Mara from Mizoram who helped relocate and provide safe passage to several displaced Chin refugees. That’s how he met my grandmother, a Kathe (a Meitei from Myanmar).

On my paternal side, I am Karbi, from the Terang clan.

The rolling hills, lush forests, and vibrant festivals of my homeland have shaped who I am. I am deeply passionate about bringing the stories of Northeast India to the world — its history, its traditions, and the unique cultures of its people.

🎯 My Wikipedia Goals

[edit]

My mission on Wikipedia is to expand and enrich articles that highlight the history, culture, and languages of Northeast India.

I aim to:

  • Create and improve articles on eminent personalities from the region.
  • Ensure reliable references, detailed research, and balanced representation.
  • Collaborate with editors who are equally passionate about underrepresented regions.

Most importantly, I want to inspire the next generation from Northeast India to see themselves reflected on global platforms like Wikipedia.

🧭 Inspirations

[edit]

I’m greatly inspired by Rosie Stephenson-Goodknight (User:Rosiestep), whose work in expanding women’s biographies has paved the way for many. I hope to walk a similar path — shining light on the overlooked and giving space to the voices of my region.

If you're working on any of these topics or want to collaborate — feel free to reach out!
