Supports    Nepal — an enthusiastic follower of Nepalese sports, with a deep passion for representing Nepal’s athletic achievements across multiple disciplines on Wikipedia.

In my free time, I edit Wikipedia to share knowledge and contribute to people around the world. I actively contribute to improving and maintaining articles related to Nepal’s sporting landscape, from national-level leagues to international tournaments. My main focus is on cricket — particularly pages such as Nepal Premier League, Lumbini Lions, and their yearly performances — but my edits and research extend well beyond cricket to showcase the full spectrum of Nepal’s sporting efforts.

Cricket Contributions

[edit]

Cricket holds a special place in Nepal’s sporting identity, and I regularly work on enhancing pages connected to it. These include: Domestic competitions like the Nepal Premier League, EPL, and PM Cup. Team profiles such as Lumbini Lions, Kathmandu Kings XI, and Biratnagar Warriors. Articles on Nepali players, both men and women, updating stats, records, and career summaries. Coverage of International Cricket Council (ICC) events, documenting Nepal’s participation and achievements. Pages focusing on women’s cricket in Nepal, supporting the growth and visibility of female athletes in the sport. I also enjoy maintaining and improving statistical tables, updating match summaries, and ensuring that every record reflects accuracy, reliability, and proper citation.

Football Contributions

[edit]

Nepal’s football culture continues to grow, and I’ve contributed to pages covering: The Martyr’s Memorial A-Division League and its clubs. The Nepal national football team, tracking match results, player statistics, and tournament performances. Nepal’s participation in SAFF Championships, AFC competitions, and other international events. Profiles of standout players and coaches who have shaped the country’s football history.

Volleyball and Other Team Sports

[edit]

Volleyball is Nepal’s national sport, and I contribute to pages detailing: The Nepal national volleyball team (men’s and women’s). Domestic tournaments and regional championships. Player and coach information, event results, and team progress. I also extend contributions to other popular team sports, including basketball, rugby, and handball, particularly in documenting Nepal’s growing participation in South Asian competitions.

Individual Sports and Athletics

[edit]

Nepal’s representation in athletics and individual disciplines deserves equal attention. I edit and maintain pages related to: Track and field, marathon running, and mountain races — especially events like the Tenzing-Hillary Everest Marathon. Boxing, taekwondo, and karate, which have earned Nepal medals in South Asian and international competitions. Weightlifting, archery, and shooting, with a focus on Nepali athletes competing in the Asian Games and Olympic qualifiers.

Winter and Adventure Sports

[edit]

Given Nepal’s unique geography, I also contribute to pages covering mountaineering, ice climbing, skiing, and other adventure sports, ensuring that athletes and expeditions representing Nepal are properly documented and recognized.

Goals

[edit]

My long-term goal is to build a comprehensive and reliable record of Nepalese sports on Wikipedia, covering all disciplines, genders, and levels of play. I aim to: Ensure accuracy, neutrality, and completeness in every article I contribute to. Expand coverage of women’s sports, youth programs, and para-athletes, promoting inclusivity and representation. Develop well-structured statistics, records, and historical summaries for future reference. Inspire other contributors to join in documenting Nepal’s sporting achievements and share the country’s athletic history with the world. By systematically contributing to Wikipedia, I hope to create a lasting, accessible archive that showcases Nepal’s sports legacy for fans, researchers, and aspiring athletes alike.

Commitment and Focus

[edit]

My goal is to improve the quality, accuracy, and visibility of Nepal’s sporting history on Wikipedia. I aim to: Update results, records, and biographical data. Add reliable references and sources. Maintain neutrality and adherence to Wikipedia’s content guidelines. Support underrepresented areas such as women’s sports, youth development, and para-athletes. I’m passionate about presenting Nepal’s athletic journey in an informative, balanced, and inspiring way — one edit at a time.

Thanks for visiting, Jai Nepal!  Nepal
