Hi there, I'm Altaïr. My goal in life is to attain infinite knowledge, even though I recognize the impossibility of such a thing. I am, as a result, interested in everything (yes, everything), and I couldn't live without Wikipedia and the related projects.

On Wikipedia

The first focus of my main contributions to the project have been dedicated to the endless war against vandalism. The second main focus is making cosmetic minor edits; basically spell/grammar corrections, wikicode, layout, cleanup, formatting... trivial but necessary stuff like that. In fact, I would say that it is mutually intelligible from copyediting.

I am also a rollbacker and reviewer. Even though I have learned a lot over the years during my time here, do not hesitate to call me out if you think I did something wrong or made a mistake. I would really appreciate it if you did. Oh, and it also goes the other way around; if you have a question for me, no matter what it is, please just ask; I'll be glad to help. You can use my talk page for contacting me. I am not an expert on Wikipedia or its deeper (sometimes arcane, even for me) structure, but I like to think that I have a solid grasp of the most crucial aspects, and at best, superficial knowledge of nearly everything else. If there is something that I do not know, I would gladly and immediately refer you to more experienced, and much more involved, contributors other than myself.

Personal

I'm 18 years old, and I spend nearly all my time by myself. I generally enjoy reading, logic, writing, music and language, and I use Wikipedia every single day. Even if I don't edit every day, I still read and turn to the project for knowledge ad nauseam. I've had this account for a long time as well.
