I read that emo is a subgenre of punk music, which itself is a subgenre of rock music. When I heard about emo rap, I reasoned that emo rap must be a subgenre of punk rap, so I put it in this template. But I just watch two music videos for songs listed under emo rap, and in neither one of them did I hear any rock sounds.
