Record label names
[edit]Does Template:Infobox song#label specifically call for dropping only the word "Records" from label names, or was it also intended to include similar terms like "Music" and "Entertainment", as suggested by Template:Infobox album#label (which mentions 'words like "Records"') and Template:Infobox musical artist#Parameters? What to do when "artist" is different from the artist for "singles chronology" purposes?
[edit]I am looking at a single that has a featured artist added to the "artist" field in the info box. I feel they should be listed there. However, it populates the featured artist into the "singles chronology" section, making it incorrect: the rest of the singles don't include the featured artist. How best to handle this? A while ago, a "version" parameter was added to the infobox to prevent terms such as "remix" and "live" from being put inside quotation marks. However, this only works for songs that weren't released as double A-sides or the first track of a double A-side. On articles such as The Joker (Steve Miller Band song) and Cruise Control (Headless Chickens song), the second song of a double A-side can't be altered. I would like a "version2" parameter to be added, so this issue can be fixed. ResPM (T🔈🎵C) 18:19, 20 August 2025 (UTC)

Use of hlist
[edit]An editor removed an hlist I had in the label field. In the edit summary they wrote, "infobox formatting (do not use hlists)". I'm not seeing this stated anywhere else. Is this correct? Danaphile (talk) 12:02, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
Extra chronology as well as external music video in misc
