Malaysian English template is missing

I just tried to change the notice on Talk:Tambunan, which wrongly stated that the article uses British English (while the article itself has a Template:Use Malaysian English hat note), when I noticed that Template:Malaysian English does not exist. The real problem is that Malaysian English, as described in the article, should not be used on the English Wikipedia, per MOS:COMMONALITY: Use a commonly understood word or phrase in preference to one that has a different meaning because of national differences. So Template:Use Malaysian English should not exist. The only differences between British English and Malaysian English described in the article are ones that would create confusion among readers if used without glossing. I created the template after giving up on stemming the tide of these "Use X English" templates that should not really exist. Too many editors prefer to ignore MOS, and I chose not to die on that hill. – Jonesey95 (talk) 02:46, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting the other template is just as good for me as undeleting this. Right now, Template:Use Malaysian English is used on 463 pages. What we shouldn't do is have exactly one of Template:Use Malaysian English and Template:Malaysian English, because the two rely on each other. Right now, things like the broken talk page header at Talk:Tambunan have no good solution. Renerpho (talk) 04:26, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
