This template is intended for use on articles where the lead section contains information that is not mentioned elsewhere in the article.
Usage
[edit]Place at the top of the article:
{{Lead extra info|date=September 2025}}
Use this template when a lead fact isn't discussed by the body at all.
If the body does discuss the fact but fails to verify it, use {{Not verified in body}} instead
If the fact is verified by the lead, but not mentioned by the body, still use this template.
Related note: While many articles avoid using references in the lead section, WP:LEADCITE does allow for facts to be verified in the lead.
Categorization
